FINALLY!

I thought Twilight was the most cliche and irksome modern teenage fantasy-fiction story I have ever read! Vampires living amongst humans in a middle-of-nowhere town? A nerdy book worm girl falling in love with vampires?!?!?LAMMME! Where's the staking?

YOU GO NOVEED! I AGREE WITH YOU ALL THE WAY, THIS IS A CHICK-BOOK! THE BOOK WAS WAY TOO BANAL AND MELODERAMATIC!

But yeah... to improve the story, you need a good staking. Heck, alot of stakings. Heck, indiscriminant stakings on an epic scale, of both vampires and humans.

Lol. Jasmine... a girl you know exiles others because they went for "her" man. I can only wonder who you're talking about. xD

Life of Pi? PSHHH...

--- The only thing I hate more than a dumb person who thinks he is smart is a smart person who thinks he is dumb.

A staking sounds fun!

I guess a staking scene could help the book out a bit. But adding to 500 pages of a book that doesn't work probably wouldn't fix much for me. I think ultimately, the book's angle of "vampire romance" doesn't sit well with me, and will only sit well with a certain niche of readers...primarily teenage and young adult females.

haha

I wish I could say more about this month's Cover to Cover, but I haven't read Twilight. :( However, your debate was just hilarious! And Jasmine, I like your hat.

Excuse me...

Stakings? HELLO, vampires are the protagonists of the book! The only one that needed to be killed of was James. Besides, these vampires can't even be killed with stakes. If you hadn't notice, Stephanie Meyer twisted the whole Hollywood version of vampires: no stakings, no burning, no sleeping in coffins. They sparkle in the sun for Pete's sake. And, NO, Noveed, stakings do not sound fun! I still say that you must read New Moon for appearing late to this taping.

And, yeah, Twilight is a girl book, but guys can get into it to! There's vampires that can bend cars and run hella fast! Besides, what about Edward's whole "macho" vibe about him? Aren't guys supposed to be into that stuff? Like guys feeling like they have to be the savior and help girls? That's why my guy friend likes Twilight!

Also, "vampires living in a middle-of-nowhere town," where else would you expect them to be? Forks is a real and extremely rainy town. Look it up.

Twilight may be a bit melodramatic, but it's not lame or banal as you say. It actually sticks very close to real human emotions. But, I'm guessing you wouldn't know that, would you Taishaku? And since you don't have a date for senior ball, why not heed my advice?

It's not like Twilight is some cheesy, unoriginal YA book, which I normally can't stand. There's a reason this book has such a wide fanbase in such a short amount of time. And, like Noveed says, it's well-written. Stephanie Meyer is an incredible writer, not to mention Twilight is her first book.

And, I know that I just ranted a lot, but I didn't get to say half of the things I wanted to. I would need a day or so. I commend anyone who actually read all that.

Thanks for the compliment on my hat, Tarah! I was going for the skier look. It was 'er' day at school for spirit week (dress up as your favorite 'er.' Ex: teacher)-- lame, I know. But, at least the seniors won!
